Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours?

We are open 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Weekends and Holidays.  We never close for lunch.  We are closed Christmas and Thanksgiving.  Drug Screens need to arrive before 5:00pm on Weekdays and 2:00pm on Weekends and holidays.

Do you accept my insurance?

Jefferson Urgent Care accepts most major insurances.  You should contact your insurance company before your visit to confirm that your services will be covered. We cannot bill your insurance if you do not have a current copy of your insurance card with you at the time of your visit.

How do I schedule a visit?

You don’t!  Just walk in and our friendly staff will obtain the necessary information.  Before you know it, you will be seen by one of our skilled and compassionate providers.

If I don't have insurance, what is the cost?

Our charges are comparable to Physician Office Visit charges, and much less than the Emergency Room.  If you do not currently have insurance, you will be responsible for all charges at the time of service.  There will be a 15% prompt payment discount applied to the visit charge.

What types of medical problems are appropriate for Jefferson Urgent Care?

Jefferson Urgent Care was established to see acute, non life threatening, illnesses and injuries. These include such things as colds, flu, allergies, and minor injuries and lacerations.  If you are experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath or a significant injury, you should call 911 and proceed to the nearest emergency room.

Can Jefferson Urgent Care be my Regular Doctor?

No. We do not provide ongoing, chronic care for medical problems such as hypertension or diabetes.  You are better served by establishing a relationship with one of the excellent physicians in Jefferson County.

Does Jefferson Urgent Care do routine physical exams?

Yes, but only for specific purposes such as DOT, sports, camp, pre-employment, etc.  We request that you please bring the required examination form with you at the time of your visit.

How long will my wait be?

That is a tough one!  At Jefferson Urgent Care, we make a significant effort to minimize the time you have to wait to be seen, by increasing staffing during peak times.  Unfortunately, because we are a walk-in clinic, we can not predict when our patients will need us.
